Vercel Ship AI 2025 recap

By Steven Van ·

AI SDK 6 beta adds an agent abstraction and tool approval, and Vercel's Marketplace now lists installable agents like CodeRabbit and Sourcery.

Vercel used its Ship AI 2025 event to launch a new version of the AI SDK built around agents, along with a marketplace for installing them.

  • AI SDK 6, now in beta, adds an agent abstraction so a workflow can be defined once and reused across any app. It includes a tool-approval system: marking a tool with needsApproval lets the agent pause and wait for a human to confirm before it runs, plus end-to-end type safety across models and UI. The beta installs with npm i ai@beta.
  • The Vercel Marketplace now lists production-ready agents and AI services that can be discovered, installed, and connected directly to a project. Agents include CodeRabbit, Corridor, and Sourcery for development workflows, alongside integrations for Autonoma, Braintrust, Browser Use, Chatbase, Descope, Kernel, Kubiks, and Mixedbread.
