Vercel now supports Domain Connect as a DNS Provider

By Steven Van ·

Vercel domains can now be configured automatically by outside services via Domain Connect, starting with email setup through Resend.

Vercel now supports Domain Connect, an open protocol that lets third-party services configure DNS records on Vercel-managed domains automatically, without asking users to copy and paste values. It works for domains using Vercel's nameservers, including domains purchased or transferred to Vercel, and teams can set up their domain in one click instead of following provider-specific instructions.

The first service using it is Resend: when a team configures email for a custom domain there, Resend can provision the necessary DNS records directly on the associated Vercel domain. Vercel is inviting other services to request support for their own Domain Connect template by contacting its team.
