Vercel Passport, Connect, Managed Users, and BYOC on AWS put access, credentials, and audit logging behind a company's own identity provider by default.
Vercel has launched a platform for running AI agents and internal apps behind a company's own identity and security boundaries, built to answer questions that come up once agents are in production: who can use each one, which data and systems they can reach, and what they cost.
- Vercel Passport puts every internal app and agent behind the company's identity provider, including Okta, Microsoft Entra, Auth0, or any other OpenID Connect-compatible provider, by default. An IdP connection is configured once and applies automatically across every deployment, so apps and agents are private and access is authenticated from the moment they exist, with every action auditable.
- Vercel Connect gives agents short-lived, scoped credentials for the systems they use, such as Slack, GitHub, Snowflake, Salesforce, and Linear.
- Enterprise Managed Users gives full lifecycle control over every Vercel and v0 user through the company's existing directory.
- Bring your own cloud on AWS runs apps and agents inside a customer's own AWS account, currently in private beta.
The announcement says the platform grew out of Vercel's own internal use: employees shipped hundreds of agents and internal apps over the past year, and these components are what the company built to keep them internal and governed.
