Vercel Drives is now generally available

Drives give Vercel Sandbox persistent, shareable and forkable storage on Hobby, Pro and Enterprise, billed at $0.05 per GB-month plus reads and writes.
Persistent storage for Vercel Sandbox is now generally available as Drives, on the Hobby, Pro, and Enterprise plans. A Drive is a directory you mount in a sandbox. Its files remain after the sandbox stops, so later runs and other sandboxes can access them by mounting the same Drive.
What Drives are for
Vercel lists two uses: preserving an agent's workspace or file-based memory across runs, and making datasets, models, dependencies and build artifacts available across sandboxes.
Mounting and sharing
- A sandbox can mount up to four drives, each at its own absolute path.
- Only one sandbox at a time can mount a given drive read-write. For shared access, mount a point-in-time read-only snapshot of the drive instead. Many sandboxes can mount snapshots at once, and each reflects the drive as it was when mounted.
- A sandbox's main region must match the drive's region. Drives are created in iad1 by default, and the region cannot change after creation.
Forking
A Drive can be forked into independent writable Drives. A fork inherits the source Drive's data, region and maximum size, then stores its own changes. Parallel workers can start from the same files without affecting the original or one another. A drive must be mounted read-write and written to at least once before it can be forked.
Size and pricing
A drive defaults to a 1 TiB maximum size (1 GiB on Hobby), with a default quota of 16 TiB. Storage is billed at $0.05 per GB-month, plus reads and writes. Drives persist until deleted, and a drive cannot be deleted while attached to a running sandbox. Drives are managed through the JavaScript and Python SDKs and the Sandbox CLI.
