Vercel BotID is now generally available

By Steven Van ·

Vercel's invisible CAPTCHA, powered by Kasada, is free for all teams, with a Deep Analysis mode for Pro and Enterprise plans.

Vercel's BotID is now generally available, giving all teams an invisible CAPTCHA for routes like checkouts, logins, signups, AI chat interfaces and other LLM-powered endpoints. There are no visible challenges and no manual bot management: BotID silently collects signals that distinguish humans from bots and mutates its detection logic on every page load to resist reverse engineering.

  • Basic protection is enabled by default; Deep Analysis, powered by Kasada, adds advanced checks and is available to Pro and Enterprise teams.
  • Integrates via a type-safe SDK: a client-side component for detection and a server-side checkBotId function for verification, with automatic labeling of logs and telemetry for blocked sessions.
  • Attack data feeds a global machine learning mesh that Vercel says strengthens protection across all customers.
  • BotID traffic appears in the Firewall dashboard, filterable by verdict, user agent, country, IP address, request path, target path, JA4 digest and host.
