Vercel AI Gateway plugin for WordPress

The plugin requires WordPress 7.0, released the same day, and adds automatic fallbacks and unified billing across providers.
WordPress sites can now reach every model in Vercel's AI Gateway through a single plugin. The Vercel AI Gateway plugin gives any WordPress site access to hundreds of models from 40+ providers, including Anthropic, Google, OpenAI, xAI, DeepSeek, MiniMax and Moonshot AI, through one API key. It works as a connector for the new WordPress AI Client, which requires WordPress 7.0, released the same day.
Any plugin built on the WordPress AI Client picks up the connector automatically, without needing its own provider integrations or API keys. The plugin also enables:
- One key for many providers, managed under Settings > Connectors instead of separate credentials per provider.
- Multi-modal generation: text, structured JSON, image generation and editing, and video, all through the same prompt builder.
- Automatic fallbacks that keep AI features online during provider outages.
- Dynamic model discovery, so new models become available without a plugin update.
- Unified billing and observability across providers, at provider prices.
To get started, install the plugin on a WordPress site and add an AI Gateway API key under Settings > Connectors.
