Updates to Terms of Service

Hobby accounts default to opted-in for AI training, Pro defaults to opted-out, and arbitration now covers U.S. customers too.
Vercel has updated its Terms of Service and Privacy Policy to cover agentic infrastructure features and AI model training, as detailed in its March 2026 changelog post.
- Vercel is building features that let it proactively investigate and mitigate incidents, analyze app performance and suggest improvements, and identify where spend is going and create PRs to optimize usage. It may also use data to help fight fraud and abuse of the platform.
- Customers can separately choose whether Vercel may use their code and Vercel agent chats to improve Vercel's own models, or share that data with AI model providers. Hobby accounts (including trial Pro) are opted in by default, with opt-out in Team and Project settings. Pro accounts are opted out by default but can opt in. Enterprise customers cannot opt in to any AI model training.
- When opted in, training data includes code, Vercel agent chats, build and deployment telemetry, build errors, and aggregate traffic stats, with personal information, account details, environment variables and API keys redacted first.
- Customers who opt out by March 31, 2026, 11:59:59 PST will have no data used or shared for training; opting out after that date stops sharing going forward but does not undo sharing that already happened.
- Arbitration, previously used for international and Enterprise disputes, now also applies to U.S.-based customers. The opt-out process in Section 21 of the Terms of Service is unchanged.
