Tray.ai cut build times from a day to minutes with Vercel

Migrating off legacy Next.js and Serverless onto Vercel cut Tray.ai's marketing site builds by 99.86%, to about two minutes.
Tray.ai, a composable AI integration and automation platform, migrated its marketing site off an older version of Next.js and onto Vercel with agency Roboto Studio, and build times dropped from a full day to about two minutes.
The old setup ran on Serverless with 250MB package builds and a rigid dev-stage-prod pipeline, with form logic split into a separate repo and no way to preview changes without a full deploy. Roboto Studio rebuilt the site on Next.js in a single Turborepo monorepo, using custom page resolution and nested dynamic routing to manage more than 500,000 pages, and rebuilt the forms engine on Vercel Functions with reCAPTCHA. The site now uses automatic git-based deployments with preview deployments on every branch push, and a hybrid rendering setup combining static generation, server-side rendering, and client-side rendering.
When a DDoS attack targeted dynamic SSR routes, the team used Firewall Observability to spot it and refactored the affected pages to static, cached versions without needing infrastructure changes. Tray.ai's site now serves over one million page views a month, and the team uses Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to track real-user performance.
