Speed Insights deprecates First Input Delay on November 1st
By Steven Van ·
Speed Insights already scores responsiveness with INP, so existing FID data stays viewable and no changes are needed on your side.
Vercel Speed Insights will stop recording new First Input Delay (FID) measurements on November 1st. Speed Insights already uses Interaction to Next Paint (INP), the Core Web Vital that replaced FID, as the responsiveness metric in the Real Experience Score.
According to the Speed Insights documentation, the deprecation needs no changes on the user's side and does not affect the score. Existing FID data stays viewable.
