Set your own project avatars

You can now set a project's avatar from its settings in the Vercel dashboard.
Project avatars in Vercel no longer have to come from a favicon. Vercel still defaults to detecting the favicon from a project's production deployment, but you can now set an avatar yourself from the project's settings in the dashboard, as described in the changelog.
That lets microfrontend projects that share one favicon get distinct avatars, and lets backend projects with no favicon to detect set one explicitly. Custom avatars render across the dashboard and on Vercel bot comments in GitHub, and can also be uploaded through the REST API.
