Rolling Releases are now generally available

By Steven Van ·

Pro and Enterprise teams can now roll out deployments gradually to a share of traffic, with monitoring to compare versions before full promotion.

Rolling Releases are now generally available on Vercel, letting teams send a small percentage of traffic to a new deployment before promoting it to everyone, with no custom routing required.

Each rollout starts at a configured stage and either advances automatically or waits for manual promotion. Stages are set per project, and updates propagate globally in under 300ms.

  • Real-time monitoring to compare error rates and Speed Insights (Core Web Vitals, Time to First Byte, and more) between the current and new deployment
  • Controls available via the REST API, CLI, project dashboard, or the Vercel Terraform provider
  • Logs and telemetry labeled by deployment for easier debugging

Pro and Enterprise teams can enable Rolling Releases on one project at no extra cost, and Enterprise customers can upgrade to unlimited projects. See the announcement for setup steps.
