Qwen3-Next models are now supported in Vercel AI Gateway

Vercel's AI Gateway adds Qwen3 Next's two 3B-parameter models, callable via AI SDK v5 with a single model-string update.
Vercel's AI Gateway now supports Qwen3 Next, two efficiency-focused models from QwenLM that activate only 3B parameters, with no separate QwenLM account needed. Developers can call the models through the Gateway's unified API, which also handles usage and cost tracking, retries, and failover aimed at higher than provider-average uptime.
To use it with AI SDK v5, install the ai package and set the model string to alibaba/qwen3-next-80b-a3b-thinking. The models come with built-in observability, Bring Your Own Key support, and automatic-retry provider routing through the Gateway.
