Vercel's AI Gateway now offers Qwen 3.8 Max 0902, a new snapshot of Alibaba's Qwen 3.8 Max. The update concentrates on coding across larger projects, long-horizon tasks that run without supervision, and agent runs, and improves vision handling on charts and dense documents.

The model is available as alibaba/qwen3.8-max-0902; using the dated ID pins requests to this snapshot so a later release won't change what they run against. It can be connected to coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Cursor, and Pi by running vercel ai-gateway coding-agents setup and selecting alibaba/qwen3.8-max-0902, or tried in the model playground.
