Protect production deployments for free on every plan
Vercel Authentication can now lock down production URLs on Hobby, Pro, and Enterprise, ending the $150/month add-on requirement.
Vercel now lets projects on any plan protect every deployment URL, including production domains, with Vercel Authentication at no extra cost. That previously required the $150-per-month Advanced Deployment Protection add-on.
With Vercel Authentication enabled on all deployments, only visitors who sign in to Vercel and have access to the project can open them, useful for internal tools, private dashboards, or sites not yet ready to launch. To turn it on, open Security in a project's sidebar, select Deployment Protection, then choose All Deployments. The setting can also be applied as a team default so it covers every new project.
Deployment Protection Exceptions, which let specific preview domains stay public while the rest of a project remains protected, are also now free on every plan.
