Preview links between microfrontends projects now serve all paths

By Steven Van ·

Child microfrontend preview links now route to other projects in the group instead of 404ing on paths outside their scope.

Preview and deployment links across a Vercel microfrontends group now serve every route in the group, not just the ones hosted on the root domain. Previously, only the group's root domain could serve paths from child microfrontends, so visiting a child microfrontend's own preview link could produce a 404 for pages outside its scope.

  • Preview links on child microfrontends now route paths to other microfrontends in the group, eliminating those 404s.
  • Deployments built from the same commit or branch automatically link to each other, making it easier to test changes in monorepos.
  • Fallback routing resolves requests to microfrontends that weren't built on the same branch.

The change is enabled by default for all new microfrontends and is rolling out gradually to existing teams.
