OpenAI's GPT-OSS-Safeguard-20B is now available through Vercel's AI Gateway, with no separate provider account required to use it. The model is a fine-tuned version of GPT-OSS built for policy-driven content moderation, and it can be called through AI Gateway's unified API by setting the model string to openai/gpt-oss-safeguard-20b.
Requests to the model get AI Gateway's usage and cost tracking, built-in observability, Bring Your Own Key support, and intelligent provider routing with automatic retries for higher than provider-average uptime.
