New webhook events for domain management

By Steven Van ·

New webhook categories let developers on Vercel monitor domain transfers, renewals, certificates, DNS changes, and project domain lifecycle events.

Vercel now supports webhook events covering domain operations, adding visibility into processes that previously required manual checking. New event categories include domain transfers, which track key stages of inbound transfers; domain renewals, which monitor renewal attempts and auto-renew status changes; domain certificates, which notify when certificates are issued, renewed, or removed; DNS changes, covering record creation, updates, and deletion; and project domain management, which detects lifecycle changes like creation, updates, verification status, and reassignment across projects.

Vercel notes these events are especially useful for multi-tenant platforms that assign domains per user or customer, and for building monitoring and alerting around domain and certificate operations. Details on subscribing are in the webhook documentation, described in the announcement.
