Nano Banana 2 Lite (Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite Image) now on AI Gateway

Vercel's AI Gateway adds Google's Flash-Lite image model, priced at $0.034 per 1K image, about a quarter of Nano Banana Pro's cost.
Google's Nano Banana 2 Lite (Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite Image) is now available on Vercel's AI Gateway. The Flash-Lite-tier model generates images alongside text in under 4 seconds and can edit existing images across multiple turns.
It also costs less than earlier Nano Banana models: 1K images run $0.034 each, about half the price of Nano Banana 2 and roughly a quarter of Nano Banana Pro at the same resolution. The model is multimodal and works with streamText or generateText in the AI SDK by setting the model to google/gemini-3.1-flash-lite-image, and it can also be tried in the model playground.
