Moonshot AI's Kimi K2 Thinking models are now available on Vercel AI Gateway

Both models work via AI SDK with a single model-string change and no extra provider account.
Moonshot AI's Kimi K2 Thinking and Kimi K2 Thinking Turbo models are now available through Vercel's AI Gateway, with no separate provider account required. Kimi K2 Thinking is open source and built for deep reasoning, handling up to 200-300 sequential tool calls, and posts top results on reasoning and coding benchmarks. Kimi K2 Thinking Turbo is a faster version of the same model, aimed at cases that need both deep reasoning and low latency.
To use either model with the AI SDK, set the model string to moonshotai/kimi-k2-thinking or moonshotai/kimi-k2-thinking-turbo. As with other AI Gateway models, this includes built-in observability, Bring Your Own Key support, and automatic retries with intelligent provider routing.
