Kimi K2.6 on AI Gateway

Moonshot AI's coding-focused model joins Vercel AI Gateway, callable as moonshotai/kimi-k2.6 in the AI SDK.
Vercel's AI Gateway now supports Kimi K2.6 from Moonshot AI. The model targets long-horizon coding tasks, with generalization across languages including Rust, Go, and Python, and across front-end, devops, and performance optimization work.
K2.6 can turn a simple prompt into a complete front-end interface with a structured layout. For autonomous agents running continuously across multiple applications, Moonshot says the model improves on API interpretation, long-running stability, and safety awareness during extended research tasks.
To use it, set the model to moonshotai/kimi-k2.6 in the AI SDK. AI Gateway provides a single API for calling models, with usage and cost tracking, retries, failover, and provider routing, and appears on the AI Gateway leaderboard.
