Introducing the Montréal, Canada region (yul1)

By Steven Van ·

Vercel's new yul1 region in Montréal is live for production traffic and can be set as a Functions execution region.

Vercel added Montréal, Canada (yul1) as a new region in its global delivery network, aimed at lower latency for users in Central Canada. Caching and compute now extend closer to those end users automatically, with no changes required from developers.

The region is generally available and already handling production traffic. Teams can also set Montréal as an execution region for Vercel Functions, powered by Fluid compute for reduced cold starts and automatic scaling, and it gives teams with Canadian data residency requirements a way to keep execution in Canada.
