Introducing the Flags Explorer, first-party integrations, and updates to the Flags SDK
By Steven Van ·
Vercel's Flags Explorer for overriding feature flags is now generally available, alongside a Statsig-powered Experimentation category on its Marketplace.
The Flags Explorer in the Vercel Toolbar is now generally available on all plans, letting users see and override feature flags directly from the toolbar without signing into their flag provider. Overrides apply only to the individual's own session, which makes it possible to test features in production before they go live for everyone, demo upcoming features, or share overrides with teammates for feedback and QA.
Vercel also opened a new Experimentation category on the Vercel Marketplace, launching with Statsig as a partner. Installing Statsig through the Marketplace gives quick setup with a few clicks, preconfigured environment variables and API keys, consistent settings and version history across deployments, and low-latency flag evaluation by syncing flags into Vercel's Edge Config so flags keep working even if the provider is down.
The open-source Flags SDK, for integrating feature flags into Next.js and SvelteKit apps, now supports a new adapters architecture for loading flags directly from providers. The @flags-sdk/statsig package, for example, lets Statsig flags be managed directly within the Flags Explorer.
