Inception's Mercury 2 joins Vercel AI Gateway, aimed at low-latency uses like coding assistants and voice interfaces.
Vercel's AI Gateway now offers Mercury 2 from Inception. Vercel describes it as delivering reasoning-grade quality at real-time latency, aimed at agentic loops, coding assistants, voice interfaces, and RAG pipelines where compounding latency is the bottleneck. To use it, developers set the model to inception/mercury-2 in the AI SDK.
