Improved unhandled Node.js errors in Fluid compute
By Steven Van ·
Fluid compute now logs uncaught Node.js errors and finishes inflight requests before exiting, instead of dropping concurrent requests on the same instance.
Fluid compute now catches uncaught exceptions and unhandled promise rejections in Node.js instead of letting them take down the instance. When one occurs, Vercel logs the error, lets inflight requests finish, and then exits the process, so other concurrent requests running on the same Fluid instance aren't cut off mid-response. This gives Fluid the same isolation between requests that traditional serverless invocations had. The change applies to existing projects with Fluid enabled; see the original announcement for more on Fluid compute.
