Grok 4.1 Fast Reasoning and Non-Reasoning join AI Gateway with a 2M context window, built for agentic tool calling.
Vercel's AI Gateway now offers xAI's Grok 4.1 Fast Reasoning and Grok 4.1 Fast Non-Reasoning, with no separate xAI account needed. Both models have a 2M token context window and are built for agentic tool calling: Reasoning is aimed at structured reasoning and high-accuracy agentic tasks, while Non-Reasoning is tuned for speed. To use them with the AI SDK, set model to xai/grok-4.1-fast-reasoning or xai/grok-4.1-fast-non-reasoning.
As with other AI Gateway models, requests get unified usage and cost tracking, retries, provider failover, built-in observability, and Bring Your Own Key support.
