GPT-6.1 Sol now available on AI Gateway

The OpenAI model is priced below GPT-6 Astra on standard input and output, with cheaper cached input, and works in Codex and Cursor.
OpenAI's GPT-6.1 Sol improves on GPT-6 Sol for coding, computer use and professional work, including reading complex documents and carrying out multi-step workflows. It is now available through AI Gateway on Vercel, and the release note says it also improves factual accuracy on difficult questions.
Vercel describes it as suited to agents that debug code, work through business tasks, or extract answers from PDFs with tables and charts. Its standard input and output pricing is lower than GPT-6 Astra's, and cheaper cached input makes it useful for requests that reuse a long shared context.
The model name is openai/gpt-6.1-sol, usable with the AI SDK, the OpenAI-compatible Chat Completions API or the Responses API. For coding agents such as Codex and Cursor, install the latest Vercel CLI, run vercel ai-gateway setup, then select the model in the agent. A model playground is also available.
