GPT 5.2 models now available on Vercel AI Gateway

Vercel's AI Gateway adds three GPT-5.2 models, OpenAI's upgrade over GPT-5.1 for coding and long-context work.
Vercel's AI Gateway now supports OpenAI's GPT-5.2 model series, giving access without a separate OpenAI account. Vercel notes improvements over GPT-5.1 in professional knowledge work, coding, and long-context reasoning, along with fewer hallucinations, more accurate vision for reading graphs and visualizations, stronger complex front-end work, and better retention across long documents.
Three GPT-5.2 models are available through the AI Gateway:
- GPT-5.2 Chat (openai/gpt-5.2-chat): the model used in ChatGPT, for everyday work and learning
- GPT-5.2 (openai/gpt-5.2): for deeper work and complex coding or long-document tasks
- GPT-5.2 Pro (openai/gpt-5.2-pro): for the most difficult questions requiring heavy reasoning
Each model can be called from the AI SDK by setting the model to its slug.
