Google's Gemini 3 Flash is now available through the Vercel AI Gateway, with no separate Google provider account required. Vercel describes it as Google's most intelligent model optimised for speed, pairing Gemini 3's reasoning with flash-level latency. According to Vercel, it beats Gemini 2.5 Pro across most benchmarks while using 30% fewer tokens and running three times faster, at lower cost. To use it with the AI SDK, set the model to google/gemini-3-flash. The gateway continues to provide unified usage and cost tracking, retries, failover, and Bring Your Own Key support, as detailed in the AI Gateway documentation.
