Gemini 3.5 Flash joins Vercel's AI Gateway with better coding and reasoning, defaulting to a medium thinking level for faster, cheaper output.
Google's Gemini 3.5 Flash is now available on Vercel's AI Gateway. Vercel says the model brings improved coding proficiency and parallel agentic execution loops compared with previous Flash versions, along with gains in core reasoning, instruction following, and multi-turn coherence, and higher-quality reasoning traces in thinking mode.
Gemini 3.5 Flash defaults to a medium thinking level, balancing response quality against faster, more cost-efficient generation. To use it, set the model to google/gemini-3.5-flash in the AI SDK. Temperature, topP, topK, and thinking_budget are not supported.
