Faster builds with Turbo build machines
By Steven Van ·
Turbo build machines bring 30 vCPUs and 60GB of memory to paid Vercel plans, with per-project or per-deployment enablement.
Turbo build machines, Vercel's fastest build option, are now available on all paid plans. They offer 30 vCPUs and 60GB of memory, up from the 8 vCPUs and 16GB on Enhanced machines, and are aimed at Turbopack builds and large monorepos running parallel tasks, speeding up static generation and dependency resolution. Turbo can be enabled per project, with usage-based pricing, or selected for a single deployment by running vc deploy --turbo, adding #VERCEL_BUILD_MACHINE=TURBO to a commit message, or setting buildMachine to turbo via the REST API.
Full details are in Vercel's documentation, via the changelog entry. Vercel bills Turbo usage by CPU minute, the same model used for its other build machine types.
