Exa joins the Vercel AI Gateway and Agent Marketplace

Exa is now available on the Vercel AI Gateway and Agent Marketplace as a native integration.
Exa's neural search engine is now a native integration on Vercel's AI Gateway and Agent Marketplace, giving models access to current web information without a separate Exa account.
- On AI Gateway, every model can call Exa through a built-in tool by passing gateway.tools.exaSearch() alongside a prompt. The gateway runs the search, feeds results back to the model, and keeps going until the model stops searching, returning one synthesized answer rather than raw results. It supports the same controls as the Exa API: number of results, a category focus such as news or research papers, a country restriction, and domain include or exclude lists. Searches bill through AI Gateway alongside model usage at list price with no markup.
- On the Agent Marketplace, Exa can be installed directly into a project, or added via the Next.js Search template, to bring instant search, deep answers, and content extraction into an app. This uses a single API key that works across every Exa product, billed through the Vercel account.
