Enhanced Builds now have double the compute

By Steven Van ·

Enterprise teams already on Enhanced Builds see up to 25% shorter build times automatically, and Turbopack builds gain from the extra cores.

Vercel has doubled the compute capacity of Enhanced Builds, aimed at large codebases and CPU-intensive builds. It is available to Enterprise customers.

Enhanced Builds are meant for teams with monorepos, or with frameworks that run tasks in parallel, such as dependency resolution, transpilation and static generation. Customers already using them are seeing reductions in build times of up to 25%, with no action required. Teams that don't have Enhanced Builds yet can enable them through their Vercel account team.

The change also speeds up Turbopack builds by distributing work across all available cores. In Vercel's internal testing, performance gains were near-linear as core counts increased.
