Deployment Storage billing begins for existing Pro teams

Storage will cost $0.10 per GB-month, and deployments older than 30 days face deletion from October 23 unless teams opt out.
All Pro teams on Vercel will pay $0.10 per GB-month for Deployment Storage and Functions Storage. Each team will receive its billing start date by email.
A 30-day retention window
The deployment retention window changes to 30 days. Starting October 23, deployments older than 30 days will be deleted unless the team opts out in its retention settings before then. Settings already at 30 days or shorter remain unchanged. Deleted deployments cannot be used for rollback.
Control stored deployment history
Deployment Retention Policy provides separate periods for Pre-Production, Production, Canceled, and Errored deployments. Teams can set defaults under Team Settings, Security & Privacy, and optionally apply them to all existing projects. A project's Settings, Security page allows changes for that project alone.
Retention periods should preserve the history needed for reviews, debugging, recovery, and audits. Shortening them reduces stored history over time.
Find and reduce storage usage
The Usage page shows Deployment Storage and Functions Storage by project. It identifies which projects to investigate, while each deployment's Resources view shows static-file and Function sizes.
The storage optimization guide explains how to remove unnecessary build output, move large assets or changing application data to separate storage such as Vercel Blob, and reduce Function bundles. Output changes affect new deployments: compare Preview deployments before and after each change, test the application and changed Functions, then compare usage over the same 30-day date range once Usage refreshes.
