Deploy Slack's Bolt.js to Vercel with @vercel/slack-bolt
By Steven Van ·
A new Vercel adapter lets Slack Bolt.js agents meet Slack's 3-second response deadline using Fluid compute's streaming and waitUntil.
Vercel has published @vercel/slack-bolt, an official adapter for deploying Slack's Bolt for JavaScript to its AI Cloud. Slack's API requires a response within three seconds or it times out, which has made it hard to run Slack agents on traditional serverless platforms.
The adapter uses Vercel's Fluid compute, with streaming and waitUntil, to acknowledge Slack's webhook within that deadline while the agent keeps working in the background. It works with any function or framework built on the Web API Request object, including Hono, Nitro and Next.js. A Slack Agent Template and the library on npm are both available to get started.
