Claude Opus 4.1 is now supported in Vercel AI Gateway

No separate Anthropic account is needed, and existing AI SDK v5 apps can switch to the model with a single string update.
Anthropic's new Claude Opus 4.1 model is now available through Vercel's AI Gateway, with no separate Anthropic account required. Anthropic says the release improves agentic task execution, real-world coding, and reasoning over the previous Opus 4 model.
Developers on the AI SDK v5 can switch to it with a single model string update, to anthropic/claude-4.1-opus. AI Gateway adds built-in observability, Bring Your Own Key support, and intelligent provider routing with automatic retries, drawing on multiple providers including Anthropic and Bedrock to keep uptime above the provider average.
