Claude Haiku 4.5 now available in Vercel AI Gateway

Vercel's AI Gateway adds Claude Haiku 4.5, switchable via a single string update in the AI SDK v5.
Vercel's AI Gateway now supports Anthropic's Claude Haiku 4.5, with no separate Anthropic account required. Vercel says the model matches Claude Sonnet 4's performance on coding, computer use, and agent tasks, at substantially lower cost and faster speed.
Developers on the AI SDK v5 can switch to it with a single string update, setting the model to anthropic/claude-haiku-4.5. As with other Gateway models, it comes with built-in observability, Bring Your Own Key support, and intelligent provider routing with automatic retries. Vercel is serving the model across multiple providers, including Anthropic, Bedrock, and Vertex AI, for higher than provider-average uptime.
