Build and deploy data applications on Snowflake with v0
By Steven Van ·
v0 can now connect to Snowflake to query data and deploy Next.js apps that run compute inside a user's own Snowflake account.
Vercel is adding a Snowflake integration to v0, letting users connect a chat to their Snowflake account and build Next.js applications on top of that data. Once connected via OAuth, v0 can see what databases, tables, and AI models are available, limited to whatever the user's Snowflake permissions allow.
- Chat with v0 about a schema in natural language: list tables, describe structure, or run simple queries.
- Generate complete Next.js applications that query Snowflake data, including server-side API routes, for things like dashboards, data visualization tools, or internal apps.
- Deploy straight to Snowflake: compute runs inside the user's Snowflake account, while the application and authentication layers are managed through Vercel's infrastructure, so data doesn't leave Snowflake.
Because deployed apps inherit existing Snowflake access policies, users can't see tables through the app that they couldn't already query directly. Vercel suggests use cases like sales pipeline dashboards, inventory monitoring, customer analytics, and financial reporting tools built without engineering resources. The integration was announced at Snowflake BUILD; sign-ups are open for a waitlist ahead of testing.
