AWS PrivateLink is now available on Pro and Enterprise
AWS PrivateLink is now available for Pro and Enterprise teams as part of Advanced Networking.
Vercel now supports AWS PrivateLink for Pro and Enterprise teams as part of Advanced Networking, letting Vercel Functions and builds reach AWS-hosted services without sending traffic over the public internet. That covers databases such as RDS, Aurora, and Neon; SaaS services such as Snowflake and MongoDB Atlas; internal services behind an AWS Network Load Balancer; and S3 or DynamoDB through gateway endpoints.
To set it up, enable Advanced Networking in a project's Networking settings, then select New Connection and enter the service name and region. The target service must accept connections from all AWS principals or allowlist the IAM role Vercel provides for the team. Vercel then creates the connection and a stable hostname that Functions and builds use to reach the service privately.
The first PrivateLink connection is included with Advanced Networking. Additional connections cost $30 per month each, and data transfer is $0.04 per GB. Full details are in the announcement.
