AI agents at scale: Rox’s Vercel-powered revenue operating system
By Steven Van ·
Rox uses Vercel Serverless Functions and the AI SDK to run thousands of research agents and power its new Rox Command chat interface.
Rox builds AI agents that research, prospect, and engage with buyers on behalf of sales teams, and has run its applications on Vercel since it started, according to a case study Vercel published.
Rox ships new features every week on Next.js apps hosted on Vercel, with deploys taking 3-5 minutes. To research thousands of prospects at once, Rox spins up hundreds to thousands of AI agents that analyse companies in real time, work that used to stall because browsers cap HTTP/2 at 100 concurrent calls. Rox now batches those calls through Vercel Serverless Functions and streams results back to the client. The Vercel AI SDK powers Rox Command, a chat-driven interface for pulling up a prospect's interaction history or drafting an outreach email, which Rox built using Preview Deployments with comments for daily review.
- Frontend deploys take 3-5 minutes, fast enough to push updates before a customer demo
- A 2.5x reduction in P95 load speed
- Rox Command shipped in weeks rather than months
- Consistent multiregion performance for customers from Europe to the Middle East
