Agents can now enable Web Analytics and Observability Plus with Vercel CLI

By Steven Van ·

Vercel CLI 64.2.0 drops the interactive-terminal requirement, though Observability Plus still needs an existing team subscription.

Agents can now enable Web Analytics and Observability Plus from the command line without a person at the terminal. Vercel CLI no longer requires an interactive terminal for either action, so an agent can turn them on for a project without asking the user to run the commands. The change is covered in the Vercel CLI project documentation.

Commands

Both commands run from a linked project directory:

  • vercel project web-analytics enable
  • vercel project observability enable

Requirements

Teams must already be subscribed to Observability Plus before they can enable it for a project. The change needs Vercel CLI version 64.2.0 or later.
