The whole file, not one frame
Design-to-code tools usually work one frame at a time, you export a screen, it generates that screen, and stitching them into a coherent app is your problem. v0's version is bigger: hand it the entire Figma file and its agent navigates the pages and frames itself, decides which ones matter, and assembles them into a single working app with the screens connected. That's the hard part of turning a design into software, understanding the whole thing as a product rather than a pile of images, and it's exactly what v0 is now automating.
The agent explores and decides
The word doing the work is "explores." A real Figma file is messy, work-in-progress frames, alternate versions, scratch pages. An agent that reads the file and picks what it needs is applying judgment, not just transcribing every frame it finds. That's what makes "one link in, working app out" plausible instead of producing a bloated mess of every artboard you ever drew.
