Higgsfield vs HeyGen: Which to Use for Avatar Videos and Ads

By Steven Van ·

Synthesys compares the two on plans, per-minute cost, languages and ad tools, with a disclosure that it sells a rival and has tested only Higgsfield.

Synthesys has published a comparison of Higgsfield and HeyGen for avatar videos and ads, based on each maker's pricing pages, help articles and terms checked on 13 October 2026. The post discloses that Synthesys sells a competing AI video tool with AI presenters, and that neither Higgsfield nor HeyGen runs inside Synthesys. Synthesys ran four test briefs in Higgsfield on 14 October. HeyGen has not been tested yet.

The short recommendation

Synthesys suggests Higgsfield when the video is mostly generated scenes: dozens of models, 15-second UGC ads from a product link, and camera control. It suggests HeyGen when a presenter carries the video: videos up to 30 minutes, a digital twin from a 15-second clip, and 175 languages and dialects.

Plans and limits

  • Higgsfield starts at $19 a month (Starter, 270 credits). HeyGen's Creator plan is $29 a month for 600 credits and allows videos up to 30 minutes.
  • Both limit commercial use to paid plans, and both show the credit cost before generation where available.
  • HeyGen lists 175 languages and dialects on paid plans. Higgsfield's voice cloning page lists lip-synced dubbing in 18.
  • Unused HeyGen credits roll over one month on monthly plans. Higgsfield's reset each billing cycle on solo plans.

Cost of talking video

On published rates, HeyGen is cheaper per minute. A minute of Avatar V costs 48 credits, about $2.32 on Creator. Higgsfield's Speak 2.0 at 720p works out to about 168 credits a minute, about $8.26 on Plus, while its Kling Speak engine comes to about $2.95. Synthesys notes these are different models, so the figures are not a quality comparison. In its own test, Speak 2.0 at default High quality charged 56 credits for a 13-second track, about $2.75 on Plus.

Ads and test findings

Higgsfield's Marketing Studio turns a product link or image into a UGC video, product shot or image ad, starting from 1,500+ templates. In Synthesys's test it picked the wrong product from the supplied page. The help article caps each generation at 15 seconds, but the app's model menu listed 5 to 30 seconds on 14 October. HeyGen's Video Agent builds a video from one prompt, previews it scene by scene before rendering, and costs 40 credits a minute (120 in Seedance mode). Free plans on both services are unsuitable for ads or client work.
