Superset is now Paradev after an $11.5M seed

By Steven Van ·

Paradev, the agentic IDE formerly called Superset, has a new name and an $11.5 million seed led by Union Square Ventures.

On October 26, Paradev, formerly Superset, said the code editor is now Paradev and that it raised an $11.5 million seed led by Union Square Ventures, with Y Combinator participating. The company calls it the editor that helps engineers run armies of coding agents.

Accounts, workspaces, settings, billing, and contracts carry over, and the desktop app renames itself. superset.sh links redirect to paradev.com, and the GitHub repo moves to github.com/paradevai/paradev. The superset command keeps working, with paradev as an alias.

The site describes one workspace for Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, or any coding agent, and says there is a free tier. The source is public on GitHub under Elastic License 2.0, which Paradev says is not an OSI-approved open-source license, and the product is unrelated to Apache Superset. Prices above the free tier are not in the announcement.
