Strawberry 1.0 adds companion looks and a plaza
By Steven Van ·
Strawberry 1.0 gives companions a look you design and a New Tab plaza. The company says it saves teams more than 100 hours a week.
On October 26, Strawberry Browser CEO Charles Maddock said Strawberry 1.0 is here, calling it the AI browser that saves a team more than 100 hours a week. That figure is the company’s claim. Strawberry’s own 1.0 note says companions now have a look you design, and a plaza between jobs.
You pick a color, try faces, or randomize. You can also hire one of nine companions, such as Sales Sally or Talent Theo, each with skills for its job. Companion Plaza puts them on the New Tab page, and a click starts the work.
The site describes a desktop browser for macOS and Windows, free to install. A free plan includes 500 credits a month. Intern is $20 a month for 6,000 credits, with larger plans above that. Regular browsing does not use credits.
