Screen Studio projects now show previews in Finder
By Steven Van ·
Finder and Quick Look can show what is inside a project before opening it, making folders of recordings easier to browse.
A folder full of recordings is easier to browse when each project offers a visual preview. Screen Studio now integrates with Finder preview, letting Mac users inspect a project before opening it in the editor.
Preview before opening the editor
The Screen Studio 4.0 release notes confirm support in both Finder and Quick Look. The preview provides a way to check what is inside a project while browsing files, reducing the need to open projects individually to identify a recording.
Founder Adam Pietrasiak highlighted the benefit for folders containing hundreds of projects. For creators who keep several takes or a large archive of product demos, the change makes choosing which project to open more direct.

Using existing projects with Screen Studio 4
The release notes say Screen Studio 4 can open projects and presets from Screen Studio 3. There is an important compatibility limit when returning to earlier work: a project saved in Screen Studio 4 cannot be opened in Screen Studio 3.
