OpenAI invests in Reve as researchers join its multimodal team

Reve will remain independent and keep its existing products running following a new investment from OpenAI. The company says the funding will support a broader range of AI products beyond its initial focus on visual tools.
As part of the arrangement, members of Reve's AI Research team will join OpenAI to help lead its multimodal research. Reve says it remains free to use models from other providers and collaborate across the AI ecosystem.
