Reve launches a free capture-time photo editing app for iPhone

Reve has landed on the iPhone. On August 5 the company behind one of the top-ranked AI image models announced that Reve is out now on iOS, and the pitch is refreshingly plain: transform your everyday photos into something fun, beautiful, or business-ready. The launch takes the form of Reve Photographer, a free camera app that runs the company's Reve 2.0 model on every shot you take, so the edit is essentially done by the time you lower your phone.
Reve Photographer is the iOS debut
The app itself is called Reve Photographer, and it is Reve's first native mobile app. It is free on the App Store, iPhone only for now, and requires iOS 18 or later. The download is tiny at under 20 MB because the heavy lifting happens on Reve's side: every capture runs through Reve 2.0, the image model the company says ranks among the top three image generators in the world. Reve built its reputation on prompt adherence and realistic output rather than the glossy, obviously-AI look, and that philosophy carries into the app. The results are meant to read as a well-shot photo, not a filter.
Press the shutter, the edit is already done
The core idea is capture-time editing. You take a picture and Reve Photographer automatically handles the parts you would normally fix afterward: it recomposes the frame with artistic crops, corrects bad lighting, cleans up messy backgrounds, and can remove strangers who wandered into your shot. Reve describes it as a photographer in your pocket, and the framing is accurate in a specific way: the app is not handing you sliders, it is making the judgment calls a photographer would make and showing you the finished result.
Ten-plus looks, prompt edits, and 4K output
Beyond the automatic pass, the app ships with more than 10 distinct looks you can apply in a single tap, and they work on existing camera roll photos as well as new captures. When you want something the presets do not cover, you can edit by description: type what you want changed, whether that is removing an object, moving something in the frame, or altering how a subject looks, and the model executes it. Processing happens at 4K, so the output holds up for print, listings, and client work, not just Instagram.
From web editor to camera roll
Until now, Reve lived in the browser. The web app covers generation, natural-language editing, and drag-and-drop remixing, and it worked on mobile browsers, but there was no native way to point Reve at the real world. That is the gap this launch closes. For creators, the practical wins are obvious: product shots that look business-ready without a lightbox, social posts that skip the Lightroom detour, and quick cleanup of the photos you actually take day to day. If you already use Reve on the web, the app extends the same model to the moment of capture. If you have never touched Reve, a free iPhone app powered by a top-three model is about as low-friction as an on-ramp gets.
