Any tool can announce a big cumulative number; the interesting signal is the shrinking interval between milestones. Eight months, then five, then three tells you adoption is accelerating, more creators clipping, and clipping more often. That's the shape of a feature crossing from nice-to-have to default workflow: once turning a stream into shorts becomes frictionless, people do it every single broadcast, and the counter starts moving faster than the user base grows.
Why clipping became a habit
Restream frames the feature as making you a one-person content machine, and that captures why usage compounds. A single stream contains a week of short-form content if you can extract it, and the barrier was always the editing time. Automated (and now manual) clipping removes that barrier, so the same live hour spawns clips for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts without a separate production pass.
