Contribute to your company codebase with Cloud Agents
By Steven Van ·
Cloud Agents open GitHub pull requests or GitLab merge requests with screenshots and video, and engineers review them before anything ships.
Non-engineers can now turn an idea into a tested code change in their company's codebase through Replit, using Cloud Agents. Replit announced the workflow in its docs.
How a change gets made
The user describes what should change. A Replit Cloud Agent finds the relevant code, makes the change and tests it in the running app. It then opens a GitHub pull request or GitLab merge request that includes screenshots and video.
Setup and review
A team sets up a shared development environment once. Changes run in isolated cloud sandboxes and follow the team's contribution guidelines. Engineers review the changes and stay in control of what ships.
Also in the update
- Message and create chats: Agent can now send a message to another chat or create a new chat, so users no longer copy and paste messages or prompts themselves. It is available to Pro and Enterprise users.
- GPT-6.1 Terra: the model is now in the model selector when building with Agent in Power Mode.
