The rebuilt React Bits cursor effect adds eddies, hover and click reactions, needs no extra dependencies and installs through shadcn.
Swarm Cursor in React Bits has been rebuilt as a liquid swarm of particles that flows after the cursor. The updated animation adds several behaviours that respond to what the pointer is doing.
How the swarm moves
- The swarm flows after the cursor as it moves.
- When the cursor stops, the swarm curls into eddies.
- It pours around buttons the cursor hovers over.
- It splashes on click.
Installation
The component adds no extra dependencies. It can be installed in JavaScript or TypeScript, with plain CSS or Tailwind, for example with npx shadcn@latest add @react-bits/SwarmCursor-TS-TW. The page's interactive preview, customization controls and source tabs need JavaScript enabled.
